As a participant of this year's Ibis Bike the Lake, Heart Children New Zealand would love YOU to be part of the Heart Children team. Children at home in towns around New Zealand, children in hospital and children who dream that they too may one day be well enough to participate in such an event.

12 babies are born every week with a heart defect in New Zealand. That’s 600 every year. By the time you sit down for tea tonight, two more children will have undergone open heart surgery at Auckland Hospital.
For 25 years Heart Children New Zealand has been the sole organisation dedicated to supporting children affected by heart disease and their families. In particular, we provide timely, practical and emotional support, information, education, equipment, advocacy and friendship; when and where it’s needed.
So come on, join the Heart Children team and help us to help children affected by childhood heart disease. It’s bound to give you the extra motivation you need to get out training and you never know it may even inspire you to achieve your best.
