About The Race |
Registration
Registration will be held from:
2.00 pm - 9.00pm Saturday the 6th of November 2010
at the Novotel Hotel, Lake Front, Tutanekai Street, Rotorua
Come and buy discounted cycling product at our event expo.
The Start
The Hotel ibis Bike the Lake Rotorua (2 lap events) will start at 8.00am and 8.05am (1 Lap event) Sunday the 7th of November 2010, on Rangiuru St, outside the ibis Rotorua Hotel entrance.
The Finish
The Hotel ibis Bike the Lake Rotorua (All events) will Finish on the Village Green, Lake front, Rotorua.
Prizegiving
This will take place on the Village Green, Lake Front, Rotorua at 2pm.
You must be present to be eligible for spot and performance prizes.

Grades
The Hotel ibis Rotorua Classic Ride (84km - 2 laps)
Each rider completes the total distance of 84km. To enter this grade you must complete thetwo laps in under 3 and a half hours. Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female.
The GIANT Social Ride (42km - 1 lap)
Each rider competes the total distance of 42km. Due to road congestion a time limit of 3.00 hours has been put on this event.
The Panasonic Masters Ride (84km - 2 laps)
You must be over 40 years of age on event day. Each rider completes the total distance of 84km. To enter this grade you must complete the two laps in under 3 and a half hours. Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female.
The vo2max Junior Ride (84km - 2 laps)
You mush be under 20 years of age on event day. Each rider completes the total distance of 84km. To enter this grade you must complete the two laps in under 3 and a half hours. Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female.
The Tandem Ride (84km - 2 laps)
The Tandem completes the total distance of 84km. To enter this grade you must complete the two laps in under 3 and a half hours. Prizes: 1st
Support Crews & Transport
There will be available on the course, mechanics, a first-aid team, a sag wagon plus other event staff for your assistance to make this an enjoyable and memorable ride.
Safety
Participants must wear an approved safety New Zealand Helmet while riding the event.
Have your bike and helmet checked.
ALL ROAD RULES ARE TO BE OBEYED AT ALL TIMES AS ALL ROADS ARE OPEN TO VEHICLE TRAFFIC.
SUPPORT VEHICLES ARE PROHIBITED. ENTRANTS MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 13.
Transfers, Refunds & Late Fees
No Transfers or refunds after the 1st of November 2010, In case of a natural disaster, entry fees will not be refunded.
Late entries will be accepted up to 9.00pm on the 6th of November at the event registration with a late entry fee of $20.00.
